The CACs of Wisconsin receives support and funding from the following organizations:
National Children’s Alliance provides training, support, technical assistance and leadership on a national level to local children’s and child advocacy centers and communities responding to reports of child abuse and neglect.
Midwest Regional CAC works in close partnership with the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) and the other Regional CACs to provide a comprehensive network offering innovative, training opportunities and technical assistance to local CACs in a12 state region and across the nation. Midwest Regional CAC has been a leader in developing and administering training and technical assistance to CAC professionals since 1999.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice, Office of Crime Victim Services is home to Wisconsin’s Children’s Justice Act (CJA). CJA provides grants to States to improve the investigation, prosecution and judicial handling of cases of child abuse and neglect, particularly child sexual abuse and exploitation, in a manner that limit additional trauma to the child victim. This also includes the handling of child fatality cases in which child abuse or neglect is suspected.
