STATEWIDE PEER REVIEW:
Research shows that, while training is important for increasing interviewer knowledge of forensic interviews, it doesn’t always translate to a change in practices. Best practice is a combination of training, ongoing supervision, and peer review. Well-facilitated Peer Review can have a variety of benefits: professional and emotional support, helps maintain desirable practices, improvement in practice, increased use of open questions, and increased ability to incorporate new research.
